The council assured me they would collect the bin today. Here’s a reply I got from them (I’ve only screenshot the main body of text to avoid anyone being identified inadvertently)

And, of course. This is the state of our bin at 7:30pm (ish)

Tomorrow’s bins today…. out for collection this evening cardboard and landfill bin.

Tomorrow’s bins, TODAY!
Tomorrow’s curb contestants are the tin/glass/plastics bin… And the delightful garden waste bin…

Tomorrow’s bins today… garden waste and tins

Both bins collected. They’ve been readmitted to Bintopia to prepare for their next outting.
And Happy May Day! Especially to all the morris dancers!
Tomorrow’s collection, today… it’s a bit like the press preview, only very dull.
1 x cardboard and paper
1 x landfill

Hurrah!
Both bins have been emptied and are now back in Binarnia!!!
Garden waste bin was abandoned after emptying and we found it about 3 doors down, but whooo-hooo! Happy Days, Bin Fans! Happy Days!!
Bins for collection on Monday, 22 April 2024… put out for collection on the evening of 21 April 2024:
1 x Glass, metal and plastics
1 x Garden Waste (fingers crossed they take it this time; it was not collected on 8 April because apparently it wasn’t ‘presented’! Maybe the garden waste bin has an invisibility mode?)
Garden waste interior – looks pretty plant-y to me!

Garden waste lid down – lid sits flat, no bulging!! Handle towards the road to make it easier for the collectors to grab!

Metal, glass and plastic bin joins the party at the curb…

And just in case there’s any question about when the photos are from… here’s a screen shot of one of the emails with the attachments.

Cardboard and landfill bins emptied. Both bins returned to the storage area: ‘Binlandia’.
Garden waste bin still full.
